Ann + Sean
All-Inclusive Small Wedding Package | Grand Lake, Colorado in September 2020
Their story: “We both went to Penn State and lived down the street from one another, but we did not meet until years later when we lived in the same apartment building in Pittsburgh. We said hello to each other in the hallway, but never spoke until one day when Ann's car was vandalized, and she was outside waiting for the police to come. Sean happened to be leaving the building and struck up a conversation. We absolutely love Colorado. Rocky Mountain National Park was the first national park Ann ever visited and it was the best vacation we’ve ever taken. When we were deciding on locations for a wedding, Colorado just felt like the right choice."
Wedding details: Because of their love for Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), we helped the couple find a small wedding venue that would allow for chairs, a lake and mountain views - Grand Lake, Colorado was "it"! Facing east, the couple married on the dock of a lake (you can also marry on the shores) looking at the mountains of RMNP. They rented a vacation house directly with the owners who built the property for family celebrations. Sadly, it burned down a month later in the infamous East Troublesome Fire (our hearts go out to them). Unknown to what would come, this group seized-the-day and celebrated back at the vacation house with toasting, cheers, and a few dances before enjoying a private chef catered dinner.
