A Real-Life Colorado Mountain Pass Elopement

Here’s a peek into one couple’s story and how their elopement day unfolded with one of our most basic elopement packages. They reached out just over a month before their big day, requesting something intimate yet unforgettable during their trip to Breckenridge.  Here is how we planned their elopement day logistics: 

1. Getting Ready in Breckenridge.  The couple started their day at the Breckenridge Hair Company, where the bride’s hair and makeup were flawlessly styled. They then returned to their reserved lodging at The Carlin, where they finalized getting ready, packed their essentials (rings, license, and bubbly), and loaded up the car.
   
2. Arriving at Loveland Pass Lakes.  The couple met their photographer (the amazing Jennifer Garza) and officiant (our dear funny friend Gretchen Abernathy) at a serene mountain pass, where their ceremony was to take place. We brought for them their personal flowers, a warm shawl, and blanket to combat the chilly mountain breeze—a useful tip for any couple eloping in Colorado - an one of those little details that we take care of. 
   
3. An Intimate Ceremony.  Near an overlook point, the couple enjoyed a standing ceremony with just the stunning mountain landscape as their witness. The bride pinned a boutonniere to the groom’s jacket, exchanged heartfelt vows, and sealed their marriage with a kiss.
   
4. Celebrations and Memories.  After signing their marriage license, they explored the area area for post-ceremony photos. The couple celebrated with a champagne toast near the upper lakes before heading back to Breckenridge.
   
5. Dinner at The Carlin.  They wrapped up their perfect day with a dinner reservation at The Carlin, a luxury restaurant in Breckenridge. This quiet moment allowed them to reflect on their day while enjoying a delicious meal.
