Megan + Alex's Story

Every one of our couples has a unique love story, and Megan and Alex’s began over tacos. “It started as a lighthearted romance,”  Megan shared, “but during COVID, we leaned on each other so much that it blossomed into an unbreakable bond.”  They always dreamed of getting married in the Colorado mountains, so planning a micro-wedding in Colorado was a dream come true—a chance to fulfill their long-shared vision. ​

We first connected with Megan and Alex through our Colorado Ceremony Site Report service, which is perfect for couples seeking scenic, accessible wedding locations. Their priorities included breathtaking mountain views, an easy-to-navigate site for guests, and a picturesque spot for photos.  Garden of the Gods delivered it all! Megan and Alex chose the Three Graces Plaza area for their ceremony. It's not our usual spot (we often recommend High Point), but this location held a special charm for them. While there were curious onlookers—it’s a popular location with visitors—the couple didn’t mind.  Their focus was on having a ceremony that truly reflected their love, surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery. ​

Micro-Wedding Planning and Timing

Planning a seamless day is all about logistics, and our 4-hour all-inclusive micr-wedding package meant everything flowed perfectly. Here’s how their schedule came together:

• The day began at their VRBO, with professional hair and makeup by the talented Royal Hair and Makeup Company.
• Our photography and coordination teams arrived to capture precious getting-ready moments and detailed setups.
• The bride’s parents accompanied her to the ceremony spot as her 4 bridesmaids walked to “Here Comes the Sun.”  Megan made her grand entrance with her parents (a priority for her) to “First Date” by Taylor Alcorn, adding a personal touch to the moment.
• Following the vows, a kiss, and a joyous bubble celebration, their first dance to “Incredible” by James TW stood as a testament to their love.
• Guests were transported to Colorado Mountain Brewery for drinks and appetizers while the couple explored the park for post-ceremony photos.
• The celebration concluded with cutting a gold-flecked wedding cake and a toast to the newlyweds.

Everything flowed effortlessly thanks to precise planning, expert guidance, and our on-the-ground support. ​

Personal Touches That Made Micro-Weddings Special

• Florals: Megan carried a lush bouquet of peaches, cream, and blush roses, accented with pampas grass and eucalyptus—a nod to the natural beauty surrounding them. These same flowers adorned the bridesmaids’ bouquets (later repurposed as centerpieces!), boutonnières, and even the stunning cake.
• Cake: Their two-tiered cake was both artful and delicious, featuring lemon mousse as the top tier and an indulgent Basilic-inspired chocolate tier with raspberry and rum notes. ​
• A Little Extra Support: Like any wedding, Megan and Alex’s day didn’t come without a few hiccups, but that’s where we stepped in!  Their original BYO officiant canceled unexpectedly, but thanks to our quality vendor network, we quickly secured one of our trusted professionals. With our services, there are always backup options to ensure your day runs smoothly.
