Thier Story:  We grew up in the same small town in northern Ohio.  We knew each other growing up, but we didn't start dating until about 3 years ago when we reconnected.  We started our relationship doing long distance, but both came back to Ohio after our first year of dating.  We are both excited to get married the summer of 2023. I have always wanted a small/destination wedding, and we both love spending time in the mountains (something we don't get enough of in Ohio). We want a wedding focused on the people we love and who love us the most. We simply want a small, beautiful micro-wedding that everyone can enjoy.“ 

Their Story:  "The first week we started seeing each other we went on four dates- our mutual favorite bar, a trail run, a long bike ride, and a brewery to play board games with friends.  It’s been all of that fun and more ever since. Since we are local to Colorado, we don’t consider this a destination wedding, but we would like to get out of Fort Collins to get married somewhere beautiful in the state that reflects our love for the outdoors and can feel a bit like a weekend getaway for us.  Another important element to this is that our families and friends will all have to travel by plane to be with us, so we want it to be more than just gathering at the courthouse. We really want to do a small micro-wedding because though we are both pretty outgoing, we are also fairly private people and not really into the performative feeling of big modern weddings. We really want to honor our love in a way that feels authentic to us with just family and one close friend (+spouse) for each of us.”

Their Story:  “Spending time together is our favorite thing - be it laughing until we're crying at something others probably wouldn't find funny at all, having deep conversations about the past as well as the future (and everything in between), or in silence, simply soaking up each other's company.  Golf, darts, shuffleboard, and air hockey are sure to end in someone being a sore loser, but never for long - staying mad at one another has always been difficult.  Our love for lakes and forests and mountains ultimately made us decide that Colorado would be the perfect backdrop for our elopement ceremony and first memory as a married couple. We've already loved each other for a few lifetimes now, I'm sure of it, and we're both so excited to see what this one has in store for us.”

Their Story:  "We met through a dating app. We connected over our mutual love of traveling, music, adventures, and just being happy and having good times. We have traveled to Breckenridge several times throughout our relationship. Breck was the first place Jacob told me that he loved me after waiting 9 long months to hear how he felt. We knew we wanted a wedding, but something small and simple with just our immediate family.  We knew a small destination wedding would be best and wanted our family to experience the magic of Colorado."

Their Story:  ​“Jake and I met through my best friend who worked with him. Our first date was a blind date and continued to blossom over the years. We have been together for 5 years this coming January.  We decided to elope in Colorado because it was where we had our first vacation together as a couple and we both love the mountains and scenery. We have travelled to Colorado several times over the years to different areas. We wanted something very small and special with just the two of us. We have been non-traditional in our dating relationship, so might as well do the same with our ceremony."

Their Story:   "We first met while teaching at a middle school. Steve took a spoonful of my lemon ice at an end-of-the-year luncheon and the rest is history. Our dream is to get married in Colorado because that is where we took our first vacation. On this trip, we visited Rocky Mountain National Park and fell in love with the mountains.  We love to go on adventures and be outside in nature. We got engaged in May 2021 at the same place we took our first hike, five years earlier. Just this past summer, we crossed a major item off our bucket list and completed a cross-country trip with our camper. We are ready to set down some roots and just bought a house together!  We both never saw a traditional wedding in our future and the idea of a Colorado elopement is so appealing to us because we really feel that it is important for the moment to be about our love for each other. What better way to express our love for each other than in one of the places that helped us fall in love. We will celebrate with our loved ones when we return home!” 

Their Story:   "Billy and I have been together for nine years! We decided to cancel our large wedding for many reasons. Some of them were that it was very stressful to plan such a big event, we were spending money that could be used in a better way, and it was becoming more about everyone else and less about us. We love Colorado it’s a place that we have vacationed multiple times before. With having 20 or fewer guests, there are more places you can go that I wouldn’t take a group of over 20 (mountain passes, you could ride a gondola). But, In think just having a spectacular view and a fun time with your guests is unforgettable.

Their Story:  “Caleb and I met in Arkansas (we are both from that state). We both worked at the same restaurant for a couple years, and then Caleb decided to ask me out one day.  I moved to Colorado in 2017 with the help of Caleb and we have made this our home ever since with our lovable cat. We love to hike, backpack, snowboard, camp, go off-roading with friends, and spend time in nature any way we can. We knew we wanted to get married in Colorado because this place holds such a special place in our hearts and we also wanted to share the gorgeous mountain views with our wedding guests. We wanted a small wedding always because we are not big on being the center of attention and we wanted a more intimate ceremony with people we care about."

Their Story:  “We met in 2017.  We have two cats and love to travel.  We are outdoorsy people who love to hike. We’ve hiked all around Colorado Springs, including Pikes Peak. Most recently, we went to Juneau, Alaska which is where we got engaged. We looked into getting married in Kansas or Missouri, where we are from, but we feel much more drawn to the mountains.

Their Story:  “We are both transplants to Atlanta. However, we didn’t start dating until 2019 when we met on a dating app and coincidentally it turned out that we had mutual friends! We both share a love of an active lifestyle, traveling, and the outdoors. We have been on 21 trips and counting in the two and a half years we have been dating, eight of which have been to Colorado, both in winter (for skiing and snowboarding) and summer (for hiking). On our last trip to Colorado, Russell proposed in Telluride on a hike overlooking the beautiful mountains. Colorado seemed like a natural destination for our wedding, given our many trips there, the location of our engagement, and love for being outdoors and active. And neither of us wanted a big wedding and any of the stress that can go with it. A small micro-wedding with close family and friends in Colorado seems like an ideal wedding for what we are both envisioning.”
